Does the online fee qualify for HRDC, or only the on-site fee? +
Both qualify equally. The HRDC levy scheme does not distinguish between in-room and online delivery — what matters is that the training is MQA-approved and the employer submits the correct forms. River Hub's CLBS partnership covers both delivery modes.
Can we claim for multiple sessions in the same year? +
Yes. There is no cap on the number of sessions per employee per year under the standard levy scheme, subject to your employer's total levy contribution. Each session requires its own G1 and G3 submission. We batch-issue the documentation if you register for multiple sessions at once.
What if my company has only been registered for a few months? +
A minimum of 3 months of levy contribution is required before the first claim can be submitted. If your company is newer than 3 months, you can still attend and pay the full fee — and submit the claim once the 3-month threshold is reached.
Who submits the forms — me or my employer? +
Your employer (HR or finance team) submits both the G1 (before the course) and the G3 (after the course). You attend and collect your certificate. We provide your employer with a pre-filled course information pack to make the G1 submission straightforward.
How long does it take to receive the refund? +
HRDC typically processes refunds within 4–8 weeks of receiving a complete G3 submission. Processing times can vary during peak periods. The refund is paid directly to the employer, not the participant.
Can international participants claim HRDC? +
No. The HRDC levy scheme is available to Mauritius-registered employers only. International participants from Africa, Europe, the Gulf, and Asia pay the online fee with no levy refund. The regional online fee is priced accordingly to reflect this.
